Kenny Hurtado was born in Los Angeles County and currently resides in a small foggy town 60 Miles north of San Francisco. Kenny got his start working as a staff photographer for a Surf publication at the age of 20. After a few years bouncing around the globe for the magazine he decided to leave and move to San Francisco to attend art school at the San Francisco Art Institute. While there he was turned on to a new side of photography he didn’t know existed.
Kenny spends a lot of him time on the road shooting in remote corners of California and abroad. While on the road shooting he prefers car camping in the back of his messy Prius that could be mistaken as a demolition derby vehicle.
A book he has been working on about remote corners of Northern California is set to published in Fall 2019.
